July 28 1955 MRS. MARGARET WALTERS Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Stokes Walters, 91, who died Wednesday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Thad Chappell in Hertford, will be conducted Friday afternoon at 3 o’clock in the First Methodist Church at Hertford, by the Rev. I.S. Richmond, pastor. Burial will be in Cedarwood C emetery. Mrs. Walters was the daughter of John Exum and Elizabeth Brown Stokes, wife of Thomas Bryant Walters, and a member of the First Methodist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Chappell, with whom she made her home, and Mrs. Lloyd Griffin of Edenton, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
